Riccardo holds a BSc in Biotechnology (University of Camerino, thesis at Cambridge on hydrocarbon-degrading bacteria), an MSc in Biomedical Sciences (Amsterdam, HIV vaccine strategies), and a PhD in Virology (Erlangen, novel HIV vaccine leveraging heterologous T helper cells). His postdoc, in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute, focused on developing a single-molecule biosensor for detecting antigen-specific antibodies. Outside academia, he manages a short-term rental business and helped design a go-to-market strategy for a diabetes monitoring start-up. At Scitaris, he combines his scientific and business expertise to shape R&D strategy and strengthen commercial positioning for biopharma clients.
