Join a consulting team redefining how R&D and strategy align in the biopharma industry.
Are you passionate about science and want to use your expertise to help new medicines reach patients faster? Then a biopharma consulting job at Scitaris might be the right fit for you.
Working at Scitaris means joining a collaborative team that values autonomy, curiosity, and critical thinking. We turn complex data into clear strategic guidance for life science innovators and investors.
Yes. We also assess cognitive ability; successful candidates typically score within the top 5%. Occasionally, we hire for non-consulting roles where experience and relevant expertise may be more important than a PhD.
Benefits may include flexible work arrangements, professional development support, sports club memberships, social events and activities, and opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across international teams.
Following application, applicants are asked to complete an online assessment that tests cognitive abilities. Depending on the test results and CV review, candidates may be invited to a ~20 minute phone call with one of the partners.
Next, candidates may be invited to a half-day online recruitment visit, during which they will have multiple interviews with Scitaris colleagues, including case study exercises. Candidates will also be expected to give a presentation on a topic chosen by management. After the recruiting visit, we aim to send feedback (and/or the potential offer) within a week. The process is fully virtual.
Outside of the formal recruitment process, we often participate in job-related events that help PhD students and scientists learn more about consulting as a career. Please see our Career Resources page or follow us on LinkedIn to see upcoming events.
New consultants begin with a six-month probationary period. During the first month, you’ll be led through onboarding by experienced consultants who introduce you to Scitaris processes, databases, and typical analyses.
After the initial onboarding, you’ll shadow other consultants during their daily work and perform supportive tasks. You’ll also have regular check-ins with Scitaris management every two months to gain feedback that supports your transition to becoming a fully productive consultant.
Our consultants are curious, analytical, and unafraid to challenge assumptions. They think critically, communicate with precision, and translate complex science into clear, actionable insight. Those who thrive here take ownership, value collaboration, and approach every project with integrity, intellectual agility, and a drive to make an impact.

The core of our business is reviewing and challenging scientific and clinical data. We integrate the outcomes of our science-driven analyses with business and strategic analytical elements to generate key insights for our clients. Tasks can range from interrogating the merits of an in vitro cell-based experiment or evaluating the statistical assumptions of an ongoing clinical trial to supporting the development of a holistic R&D portfolio strategy.
Yes! We hire qualified consultants from all over the world and are happy to sponsor work visas as needed.
Being a consultant at Scitaris requires attention to detail, the ability to understand what is essential and what is not, and how to structure and communicate your work in an understandable way to the client.
While you will learn a lot on every new project, having a good understanding of pharmacology and the basics of drug development will help immensely to get up to speed quickly.
Starting a first job outside of Academia and straight out of my PhD was scary for me: I was worried about whether I fit in and provide value in a new and unfamiliar setting. But Scitaris turned out to be a very friendly place to work.
The competitive and selective hiring process resulted in a team of extremely talented and well-rounded individuals who are a real pleasure to work with and to learn from. The nature of work we do at Scitaris and the company culture of analytical rigor create an exciting and challenging environment uniquely suited for highly educated people with a passion for science.
Being a consultant at Scitaris requires both strong scientific knowledge and an understanding of how the pharmaceutical and biotech industries operate. Coming from academia, the first months involved a steep learning curve as I adapted to new topics, faster project timelines, and a different communication style.
Learning to manage time, prioritize information, and structure presentations with both clarity and depth was challenging but rewarding. Scitaris provides a respectful and engaging environment that supports this transition, helping new hires grow quickly while contributing meaningfully to complex scientific and strategic work.
Within the team, trust is what brings us all together. It creates a space for us to openly share our ideas, to support one another, and also to feel empowered to do better and grow every day.
